I am interested in computationally designing viral coat proteins to predict how evolution of different viral strains contribute to antigenic drift and evasion of the host immune system through changes in thermodynamic stability between intramolecular and antigen-antibody interactions. In addition, I am interested in structurally characterizing my protein designs through the use of single-particle and cryo-electron microscopy.
