The Rosetta Commons announced this week Kaitlyn Ledwitch, Meiler lab Research Associate Professor, is the recipient of a 2025 Rosetta Mini Grant award! Kaitlyn’s project “Develop MembraneMPNN: A design framework and Rosetta mover for membrane proteins” will be funded for one year. Developing MembraneMPNN will fill a critical gap in the Rosetta codebase by enabling membrane-specific sequence design that accounts for the unique topological, energetic, and dynamic constraints of integral membrane proteins. We look forward to seeing the results of this work. Information about the Rosetta Commons mini-grant program is found below. Congrats, Dr. Ledwitch!
Rosetta Commons mini-grants provide funding to kick-start new ideas, foster cross-lab collaborations, or support early-stage research. These grants are a great way for PIs to explore novel directions, build partnerships, and demonstrate community engagement — all while receiving direct financial support.
