Congratulations to the Meiler Lab for ranking in the top five in the CACHE Challenge! The competition, run by the nonprofit Conscience, aims to identify potential starting points for drug treatments against coronaviruses.
Jens Meiler, Rocco Moretti, and Thomas Scott utilized citizen-science software called Foldit. Conscience’s challenge resulted in the identification of seven promising molecules, with Vanderbilt’s team receiving the highest individual score of all the molecules tested.
