Travel & Lodging

Airline arrivals

For those arriving by plane, we recommend flying through the Nashville International Airport (BNA). See the Nashville International Airport Ground Transportation page for an extensive list of ground transportation options from the airport.

Lodging

We are currently negotiating with local hotels for a group rate for workshop participants. Further details will be provided to workshop registrants.

Workshop Location

The workshop will be held in the Stevenson Center Teaching Lab, room 5119, part of the Vanderbilt University Campus. The Stevenson Center is an easy ten-minute walk from the Holiday Inn or five minutes from shuttle drop-off points. See the Vanderbilt Campus Maps for the location of the building. (The teaching lab is on the lowest level of the “SC Science & Engineering” building.) Google maps labels the building with “Department of Biomedical Engineering”.

For general GPS/mapping purposes, use the address “1225 Stevenson Center Ln., Nashville”.

On Campus Parking

As on campus parking is limited, we recommend you leave your vehicle at the hotel and either walk to the workshop location or use a hotel shuttle or public transit.

On-street parking: There is limited, metered, on-street parking on 24th Ave S.

Ramp parking: Visitor parking is available at the nearby Wesley Place Garage. See the Vanderbilt visitor parking page for more details.
