Undergraduate student in the Meiler lab, Raphael Park, was selected for a highly competitive VUSRP Summer immersion award. His work “Evaluating the molecular biophysical basis of Hikeshi Hypomyelinating Leukodystrophy disease-causing variants” with Dr. Kaitlyn Ledwitch, a research professor in the Meiler lab, will be the focus of his ten-week immersion experience. The award was based off an in-depth application process, and Raphael will receive a stipend and research funding for the summer. Congrats to Raphael and his mentor, Kaitlyn!
